Writing International Student Mobility in Africa (WISMA)

This British Academy funded project, Writing International Student Migration in Africa, aims to build capacity toward sustainable development of an enriching research environment in Africa. The revised workshop program (due to COVID-19) provides the participants with mentoring and training for publishing in international top-ranking journals, build their capacity for research innovation through a grant writing session, and extend their connections to global research communities. The collaboration will generate knowledge on international student migration in Africa and be followed up by a set of papers by participants. (More details)

This Africa-UK collaboration is comprised of members from the African Network for Internationalisation of Education based in Kenya, The Open University, UK and London School Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. (More details)

We host a programme of events across two strands: research seminars, and workshops for ECRs. Recordings of previous seminars are available on the webinar page
